A Doula for Every Stage

Sarah Kunur Yak, MPH, Founder & CEO of Holistic Early Life, LLC, is a certified bilingual doula and public health professional who is passionate about supporting women and families during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. She is fluent in several languages, including English, Modern Arabic, Sudanese Arabic, and Dinka dialects. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in clinical and applied sciences from Drake University and a Master of Public Health from Walden University. Ms. Yak is certified by the National Black Doula Association (NBDA). Her doula work is informed by her public health background and experience as a medical interpreter. She believes all women deserve access to quality healthcare, regardless of their language or cultural background. Ms. Yak is committed to providing culturally sensitive care and advocating for her clients' needs.

Ms. Yak is warm, compassionate, and ready to listen and support. She is a skilled educator and communicator who can provide information about pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.

As a mother of two young boys, Ms. Yak has experienced the various stages of birth. This experience has fueled her passion for helping women and families during this momentous time in their lives, leading her to become a bilingual doula. She believes that all women deserve a positive and empowering birth experience, and she is dedicated to providing her clients with the support and information they need to make informed decisions about their care.

Ms. Yak's philosophy centers on ensuring that every woman has a positive and empowering birth experience. She passionately believes in delivering tailor-made support, personalized advocacy, and empowering individuals to make informed choices about their care. She has experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including immigrants and refugees. Currently, she provides services in Polk County, Dallas County, Warren County, and Madison County.
